Why am I having trouble coping with my divorce?

Going through a divorce changes your life drastically. Almost every aspect of your life, from the big things to the small things, will never be the same again. For many people, that leaves their emotions all over the place and dealing with that can be very difficult. In a way, getting divorced is like experiencing the death of the life that you knew. And just like how you feel grief when a person you know passes away, it is natural to also feel grief when your marriage comes to an end.

Social media becoming a new way to serve divorce papers

Social media has become so pervasive that many people in Denver use sites like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter on a daily basis. For some, it is even the primary way that they keep in touch with their friends and loved ones. In the very near future, it may also be an acceptable way to serve someone with divorce papers.

Non-custodial mothers face harsh stigma

When a couple with children in Denver divorces, family courts often try to arrive at a custody arrangement that keeps both parents involved with their kids as much as possible. Sometimes, the best situation for everyone is for one parent to have custody of the children while the other parent gets visitation.

Is there a correlation between rates of divorce and religiosity?

A new study suggests that there may in fact be a connection between if your parents divorced in Colorado when you were a child and whether or not you grew up to consider yourself a religious person. Only 23 percent of people whose parents stayed married reported being nonreligious, reports The Washington Post. In contrast, 35 percent of people whose parents were divorced said they were not religious adults.
