Colorado residents may be interested to learn that Pamela Anderson's divorce from poker player Rick Salomon has finally concluded. The divorce had become nasty in March when Ms. Anderson filed for a restraining order against Mr. Salomon, claiming he was abusive to her.
Following the divorce's conclusion, Ms. Anderson and Mr. Salomon issued a joint statement in which they retracted their earlier allegations against one another and said they had reached an amicable settlement agreement. In an email Ms. Anderson had attached to her petition for a restraining order, Mr. Salomon had referred to her as a "baby killer to her husbands".
The couple was briefly wed in 2007 for two months before receiving an annulment. They then remarried in January 2014. Ms. Anderson filed a petition for divorce six months later and then sought for it to be dismissed. Reportedly, Mr. Salomon has agreed to pay Ms. Anderson $1 million as a part of their divorce settlement agreement. It is unclear what other terms are included. The couple does not have any children together, although Ms. Anderson has two teenage sons from her marriage to Tommy Lee. This was Ms. Anderson's third marriage and divorce.
Ms. Anderson's and Mr. Salomon's case demonstrates that the process of ending a marriage can often get ugly before resolution. People who are preparing to divorce may benefit by seeking the help of a family law attorney. An attorney might be able to help negotiate an agreement that fairly resolves all of the issues of the parties on behalf of their client.
