Couples That Made Co-Parenting Work

Colorado residents who are involved in a divorce or child custody dispute may be wondering how other people handle a similar situation. There are many celebrities that are involved in joint child custody situations, some of whom have been willing to share their experiences.

Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik and her husband divorced in 2012 following nine years of marriage. She stated that, while divorce is sad, she and her ex-husband were committed to raising their children together and creating two loving homes for them. On Aug. 9, 2013, she reported that the children had adjusted well to their new situation.

Several other celebrity couples have demonstrated a commitment to co-parenting following their separations. Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli were raising their children together since April 2012 when their 11-year marriage ended. Reese Witherspoon reported that she and ex-husband Ryan Phillipe are very good at working together to raise their two children following their split. Other famous couples that have chosen to co-parent include Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Warren Lieberstein and Angela Kinsey, and Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.

The common theme in these parents' stories is the ability to put their personal differences aside and do what is best for the children. Many of the couples stated that they remain close friends following their splits and that they are careful to ensure that their children feel loved and supported by both parents. Divorce can be difficult, but it may be easier when parents are willing to work together for the benefit of the children.
